The plot is located on the Bourgueil appellation, in Chouzé-sur-Loire, very close to the Loire. It was Frédéric's grandfather who planted these vines more than 45 years ago at a place called "Champs Colesse". The surrounding environment defines these racy and pure aromas. Fiery and wild like the Loire. Its discreet breeding tames its marked character.

the vineyard

With a soil composed of clay and gravel, Racines reflects the power that this terroir offers. All of our grapes are harvested by hand and no insecticide is used on our vines that are about fifty years old.

tasting

Fiery and wild, this wine spreads racy and pure aromas in your palate. Your sense of smell will be carried away by notes of sour cherries and blackcurrants.

vinification

In order to accurately reveal the animality of this cuvée, we raise it for 18 months in demi-muids. The yeasts are indigenous and the wine has few sulphites, 23 mg/L in total.

pairings

This cuvée can be kept for a few years and surprise you in ten years. A provençal veal simmer is ideal to accompany this wine. Open 1 hour before and serve between 14°C and 16°C.
