Chenin des Rouillères
* Anjou
The Chenin des Rouillères was born in 2009, on a particular land at the eastern end of the Anjou appellation but also at the western border of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation. Sandy-gravelly in nature, a white clay subsoil stands out in depth. A Chenin of pure expression, entirely faithful to its vintage, its terroir and its master. Very low dose suffers, it is the immediate reflection of the grape. Very low dose of sulphur, it is the immediate reflection of the grape. This Chenin adapts to all situations and even if all the winds are opposite, it will never let you down.
vineyard
Sandy-gravelly in nature, a white clay subsoil stands out in depth. All of our grapes are harvested by hand and no insecticide is used on our vines that are about fifteen years old.
vinification
Aged in vats, this wine reflects the pure expression of whole bunches of Chenin. The yeasts are indigenous and the sulphites are minimal : 23mg/L in total.
tasting
With its light yellow colour and brilliant green-gold reflections, its floral nose will not leave you indifferent and will make you want to go further. Well-balanced, the mouth is round and fresh, with notes of pear, acacia and lime blossom.
pairing
Pair this wine with hazelnut-courgette pesto tagliatelle or grilled fish. Serve between 12°C and 14°C.
