New wine of the estate, le Chenin des Mille Rocs’s name comes from the terroir from where the grape is native, in les Verchers sur Layon, on the eastern part of the schiste fault of the Anjou Noir. First vintage of a long serie. Les Mille Rocs 2022 is a wine that your palate will remember for a long time.

the vineyard

A new conquest for Domaine Frédéric Mabileau, our parcels in Les Verchers-sur-Layon, this cuvée comes from an ochre schist terroir.
All our grapes are harvested by hand, and no insecticides are used on our 15-year-old vines.

vinification

Light yellow colour with gold/green gleams , its shy nose lightly toasted followed by shades of citronella will let you imgine what is the “cru des Mille Rocs”. In mouth, we taste the citrus side of the wine with zest. With a great balance, the mouth, fresh and crispy will make you salivate for long moments.
